The "Daughter of the Wind" (or "Bint ir-Riħ" in Maltese) is the popular name of the new pilot site of the SINCERE project, the Searchlight Post Malta, the new pilot site of the SINCERE project, run by the University of Malta.

The SINCERE consortium visited the site on April 7, 2025 and had the chance to meet with Dr. Steve Borg from the Inwadar National Park, who gave a voice to this small building, which has seen so much and now is ready to get a new function.

The "Daughter of the Wind" used to throw light on war planes to make it easy to take them down. And now it will become a sky observatory, collecting light from the skies for educational purposes.
