The open invitation issued in recent months by Radio Lychnarι to residents and visitors to Rhodes to give voice to the city's historic buildings, as part of the European SINCERE Program, has been warmly received, collecting dozens of "authentic" voices of buildings waiting to be heard!
Celebrating the European Heritage Days 2025, Synergy Rhodes and the [SINCERE project](https:// sincere-project.eu) invite the public of Rhodes to an experiential walk on Saturday, September 27, during which they will have the opportunity to converse live with historic buildings in the city and discuss important issues regarding their sustainable use. The walk will begin with an introduction at the premises of the Association for the Preservation of the Architectural and Cultural Heritage of Rhodes (England House, Museum Square, Medieval City of Rhodes).
On Sunday, September 28, a participatory citizen workshop will be held (registration) using original methods of group discussion, in the garden of the Marc de Montalembert Foundation.

16:00-20:00 Experiential walk Meeting place: Association for the Preservation of the Architectural and Cultural Heritage of Rhodes
A group experiential walk with stops at selected historic buildings in Rhodes and a presentation of the material collected through the open call by Radio Lychnari and the relevant Facebook group.
The exact route to be followed and the selected buildings will be announced as soon as possible on the page https://talkingbuildings.net/
Before the walk, there will be an introduction to the project at the premises of the Association for the Preservation of the Architectural and Cultural Heritage of Rhodes.
Sunday, September 28
11:00-14:00 Participatory Citizens' Workshop
Meeting place: Garden of the Marc de Montalembert Foundation - Participation by registration
Theme: How can we, as citizens, best serve the protection of architectural heritage and the sustainable use of historic buildings in the context of the climate crisis? Discussion using specific processes that promote participatory leadership. Creation of a collective Outdoor Cafe in a model space for the protection of architectural heritage, where we will discuss creatively and with a view to synthesis (rather than confrontation). Specific questions and stages of the discussion will explore possible methodologies and practices for the active participation of citizens in the process of generating ideas, practices, and working groups, resulting in a rich collective harvest for medium- and long-term use.

At the same time, since 3 September 2025, Radio Lychnari has been broadcasting spots from the collection ‘Voices of Buildings’ as recorded by citizens of Rhodes as part of the participatory action ‘Conversations with the Historic Buildings of Rhodes.’
Part of this radio series is the collaboration with the Creative Writing & Reading Workshop ‘To Kochyli’ entitled: ‘Historic Buildings of Rhodes: Lights Please!’ Members of the Workshop give voice and render unique words from the Rhodian Mansion, the Post Office and the National Theatre of Rhodes.
Daily, at 13:15 and 19:15 for the first week of September. The frequency of broadcasts will increase as we approach the EHPK on 27 & 28/9. Tune in here
